Eddy Hinson began his communication business, then called Interconnect-Telcom, out of his apartment in 1983, after working for thirteen years at General Telephone. Within one year the company boomed requiring the need for an office location. Shortly therafter the business continued growing in a manner which required upgrading to a larger facility from the one he just upgraded to. A few more years passed and the need to grow once more was on the verge which lead to Eddy purchasing the building in Dothan, AL, the current location, as the headquarters. Now it is the current location to the thriving business that offerers the latest in business phone systems, phone service, consultattions, paging systems, voice and data cabling, computers and fax machines for the wiregrass area.
From day one Eddy built the company around the concept that service is the most important product that he could offer. That principle of providing quality service to each client is the reason for the success of the company to this day. To further improve upon those services Eddy added on consulting on clients phone service bills to better help the customers understanding of what they are actually getting out of the services and how to save money. With that concept and the continuing growth of products it now offers the company has paved the way for the Dothan area by better educating clients on how to save money and manage their telecom and IT needs. Now after thirty five years of active service with HCI, Eddy has retired. Although he has retired he remains actively involved in the company's operations and development.
